 1.TransPolar. “ARKTIKUGOL”/ “Arctic Coal”. Isle of SPITZBERGEN. NORWAY

territory rented by the Soviet Government in 1931 for coal extraction,

but the USSR placed the biggest Soviet Military Navy base in the North on

this island. One place in former USSR where regular issued local coins

   VNESHPOSILTORG Ruble Certificates are analogues to Foreign Exchange   

   Certificates of other countries - members of the former SEV ( Council

   of Mutual Cooperation ): Albania #FX21-27, Czechoslovakia #FX1-FX16,

   Cuba #FX1-FX23, GDR #FX1-FX7. But by some misunderstanding they were

   not included into SCWPM.

 

 Please remember that in former USSR all checks below has exchange rate

 on black market in 2-3 times high than common circulated USSR money.

 If you know in USSR was official exchange rate: 1.00 USD = 0.65 KOPEKS!

 For simple: official rate 10 rubles=15.40 USD, but you can receive this

 check(UNC) issued about than 20 years ago for only 37% of exchange rate

 (see #4.5). Note that cheques below was full convertibility of currency

 before end of the USSR.
